MOS 17C, Cyber Operations Specialist

**The Army is seeking a limited number of qualified Soldiers in the Grades E-1 through E-5 to become Cyber Operations Specialists (MOS 17C)**

MILPER Message 15-384 updates the reclassification strategy for MOS 17C, Cyber Operations Specialist (COS). Soldiers serving in MOS 17C execute offensive and defensive cyberspace operations in support of the full range of military operations by enabling actions and generating effects across all domains.

-THERE ARE NO WAIVERS FOR THE RANK REQUIREMENT. ONLY SGTs AND SPCs CAN APPLY FOR MOS 17C.

-THE 17C POSTURE SHEET WILL BE POSTED MONTHLY. THE CURRENT POSTURE SHEET IS VALID AS OF JUNE 16.

-WHEN APPLYING, USE THE UPDATED 17C PACKET. OLD PACKET DOCUMENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Minimum Prerequisites:
- A physical demands rating of medium.
- A physical profile of 222221.
- Normal color vision.
- Qualifying scores: a minimum score of 110 in aptitude area for GT and a minimum score of 112 in aptitude area ST on ASVAB tests administered on and after 1 April 2014.
- Must score a 60 or above on the Cyber Test.
- A high school graduate or equivalent prior to entry on active duty.
- Never been a member of the U.S. Peace Corps, except as specified in AR 614-200 (para 3-2).
- No information in military personnel, Provost Marshal, intelligence, or medical records that would prevent the granting of a security eligibility under AR 380-67 (para 3.401.a).
- No record of conviction by court-martial.
- No record of conviction by a civil court for any offense other than minor traffic violations.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- The Soldier must meet interim TOP SECRET (TS) Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access eligibility requirements prior to course attendance and to be awarded MOS, then final adjudication to maintain MOS.
