You probably already know the U.S. Army funds 100s of certifications with Army Credentialing Assistance (CA), but there are other ways to get FREE (No-cost to you or Funded) Certifications!
Institutionally Delivered Credentialing (IDC) is an all-volunteer program endorsed by multiple Commandants based on the needs of the branch and managed locally by the school under the direction of ACCESS at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
- Currently, 14 proponents have established IDC programs.
- Majority of the credential (80%) is taught while attending PME, by Army instructors.
- Soldiers are eligible for $800 of IDC funding for exams per FY.
- IDC participation has no impact on a Soldier’s TA or CA.
- There is no ADSO associated with IDC.
- 10 promotion points per credential (maximum of 50) for enlisted Soldiers.
- MOS is the deciding factor, not COMPO or rank – all COMPOs and ranks welcome.
- Proponent Commandants validate credentials important to their branch annually to receive funding.
